Understand about Bacterial Flora

There are good bacteria in stomach, bad bacteria and other pathogens such as viruses and fungi. Your body is full of colonies of harmless bacteria known as microbiota. Most of this microbiota has a positive effect on your health and contribute to your body’s natural processes. The good bacterial flora performs its protective action so that ensures the gut flora remains in symbiosis with the whole organism. This symbiosis, from which both the organism and the microflora benefit, is called eubiosis.

However, sometimes the bacterial flora loses its normal balance and the consequent rupture of the intestinal microbial ecosystem leads to a natural increase in bad bacteria. There are numerous causes that can create this disbalance: diets, excess food, stress, antibiotic therapies, abuse of laxatives or hormonal treatments.

This condition of alteration is commonly called dysbiosis. Symptoms can be perceived not only at the intestinal but also extra-intestinal level that include swelling, constipation, diarrhoea, reduced strength, general malaise, mood changes and sleep disorders.
